If you want to use it for school, the best way is to get an app like dropbox or google drive and throw all your notes/textbooks on there.
Grab a compact wireless keyboard and take notes that way. All I ever have to bring to class is my ipad and my wireless keyboard.

This is the only way I've ever gotten use of my ipad. Gaming, reading, drawing, watching, etc are all inferior to other devices/resources.

This has just started happening to me as well.
Some servers don't spike but some do... I haven't narrowed it down to a server provider though.

It's simply too much to ask for eXtv to do much more without some serious funds or god-sent casters who will work for free.
