Cliffs.
- The man's son has autism.
- Son is usually calm and collected.
- Son starts acting violent and lashing out in class.
- Father doesn't know why so he puts a wire on his son to try and figure out whats going on in class.
- Finds out scumbag teachers make fun of his son and treat him like shit.
- The teacher still has her job because of shitty laws in New Jersey.

Here is a petition to pass a legislation so that teachers who bully children are immediately fired.

http://www.change.org/petitions/to-the-new-jersey-legislature-and-congress-pass-legislation-so-that-teachers-who-bully-children-are-immediately-fired

What a fucking shitty world we live in.

I'm confused. Do you hate anything that comes through Reddit first? Iff so, you must visit Reddit despite your possible hate for it to find out if anything did come from it, no?

If you're just annoyed with things being posted here that were already posted on Reddit, then that's just fucking retarded.

That teacher and her aids were out of line and should have all been fired.

However, legislation that would fire any teacher who "bullies" students is a pretty broad topic. A lot of stuff could be considered "bullying" when in reality it's nothing, but it could result in the dismissal of a good teacher for bad reasons.

Then again, there are a lot of shitty teachers out there that need to be fired.

Also, Reddit and 4Chan are shitholes.

when I was around 13, freshman year of highschool I was bullied a ton because I was gay. Teachers never acted out to help, even when it was blatantly infront of them. It got to the point where the teachers who were smart asses and were trying to be "cool" with the popular kids just simply yell at me and tell me to stop "tattle tailing" when someone hurt me physically in class. They would often over-exaggerate when I got things wrong or I would get detentions from those teachers from doing things like swearing at some kid after he just punched me.

school is not a safe fucking place and i'm sick when my therapist and doctor tell me so, because even the teachers support the bullies. The principal of my school did practically nothing when I told them what the teachers were doing, nor did they do anything about the bullying unless my mom threatened to sue. school is the reason why i'm now completely socially awkward, shy, and quiet in real life. school is not a damn safe place and I urge no gay person to come out until college because assholes will literally make your life hell and you'll be looked at as the weird one when your on suicide watch, getting therapy, and have no friends because thats what happened to me

Trust me just seeing some of the people in my education classes that are going to be future teachers makes me lose a little bit of faith every day.

What #14 said is also completely true and happens with unfortunate frequency to this day on campuses across the U.S. and it is really unfortunate because often it takes that threat of a lawsuit in order for things to get done.

When we were discussing LGBT issues in class the director of our LGBT Pride center on campus actually said this and he gave us information on several pieces of anti-bullying legislation. He straight up told us if you have an LGBT student who is getting bullied and the school isn't doing anything about it even after the parents complain/get involved then you need to meet with the parents, make copies of this information and then slip it to them. Tell them that they really ought to read it and utilize that info and that they didn't get it from you.

It's truly scary to know some of the losers i went to highschool with, are now highschool teachers. I don't even want to think about how they run their classrooms. It's pathetic when teachers are trying to fit in with the cool kids, instead of running the classroom. Talk about living in the past.

The only redeeming factor, is knowing a highschool teacher barely makes more than minimum wage (at least around here starting salary is like 21,000 lol...). The sad part is there are still good teachers out there, but there are so many shit ones that just overshadow them, it's practically like they don't exist.

Disgusting. Our public school system is trash and a good chunk of the so-called "educators" (many of which resemble indoctrinators more than actual teachers) are pathetic and have no business holding the positions they do.

Situations like this, as well as the Alan Coon case (http://www.canadafreepress.com/index.php/site/article/was-boy-in-k.c.-fire-attack-burned-by-his-schools-racist-teaching/) really make me wonder if the next generation is just going to tear this country to shreds.

Yeah. I can't imagine what it would have been like if I had gone to one of these crazy schools. I went to a country-bumpkin school where most-everyone got along. The usual high-school drama bullshit still existed, but never did the faculty themselves actually attack a student.

The larger majority of teachers are well-rounded. But the bad ones are more publicized for reasons like this. My personal experience at my high school was pretty good. There were many good teachers, if you were some idiot who thought he was hilarious talking back to a teacher or something then you got sent to the office or out of class. The only bad teachers we had just sucked at teaching, not because they "wanted to fit in".

Also phaser, a starting teacher does not make $21,000 in any district anywhere, thats less than a substitute teacher can make working 4 days a week for the whole school year.

I feel like this has really changed over the years. I graduated in 2002, and it was nothing like that. I'm not saying there wasn't bullies, but I really don't remember them being that bad. Regarding the teachers, they wouldn't really stand for anything like that ever. I don't know, maybe being in a smaller school that had decent funding makes a difference.

Either way, I know the whole "it gets better" campaign is a little corny it really does. More specifically, you will barely remember high school after a few years of college. After 10 years, I don't think I've talked to anyone from high school in 5 years.

In many eastern states it is not uncommon to see salaries like this for a variety of positions - but especially for teachers (unless you have a masters) you will start at low/mid 20's almost guaranteed. This is public schools of course, yes i know private schools pay better. Starting College teachers (not professors) in Western PA/OH start out typically around 30-35k...just to give a comparison. I also know a handful of teachers that can attest to pay that low scattered throughout the US. Don't take the "average" US salary, that's a joke for any job you enter in.

My father was also a high school teacher for 33 years, so i saw him and his co workers struggle for a fair salary all his life, even when the PSEA tried to level the playing field out. It wasn't until he was 25 years into his career that he finally started getting a fair salary, especially while raising a family. I wouldn't post that information just to say it - i actually know what i'm talking about. Many low/middle class areas pay teachers horribly low...just do some research. Teachers can work their way up to a respectable salary (50-60k), but they have to put their due time in. Most other career paths (IT, Finance, Engineers, Lawyers) can reach that same salary by mid to late 20's.

Also to note - i didn't hate high school or have anything against teachers. I had my share of good and bad all the way through college. I'm not bashing teachers as a whole, but now that my generation (the we don't give a shit generation) is full blown into the workforce 10+ years, it's scary to know there are lots of people, regardless of position, that are just floating through life half assed by doing a terrible job with no repercussion. Teachers though, are the ones that should never have this attitude, as kids look to them for guidance and a means to actually learn something. That's why it looks so fucking bad when stuff like this happens.

I'm glad my high school was so good. All of my [Honors/AP, had a couple not so great teachers in my regular classes but they were few and far between] teachers were great, principal and vice principals were awesome, safety advocates were boss. I got in my fair share of trouble and still loved them all lol.

It's sickening that shit like this happens to kids at some schools.

Why do people with severe autism go to school? It's not like their education will help them to work a steady job that will help support the economy and help further our society.
